Centrally located within New Zealand’s beautiful Bay of Islands, Baylys’ Farm treats you and your guests to a truly stunning destination event. We host weddings at our original Onewhero Venue, and our NEW Brampton Venue will open for events from January 2026.
Our unique Full Wedding Package has been tailored to include all the essentials for a marquee wedding, and provides an all-in-one location for your ceremony and reception giving you more time to relax and enjoy the day with your loved ones.

Onewhero Venue
Baylys’ Farm lies at the heart of the Bay of Islands, and is steeped in both history and natural beauty. With 2000-acres of rolling farmland sitting alongside secluded bays and golden sand beaches of the Pacific Ocean, the property provides a stunning backdrop for your wedding celebration.
Our 'Onewhero Venue' is an beachfront area on the property dedicated to being an all-in-one location for your ceremony and reception.

The Point
Our most popular ceremony location, The Point, is located in the same area as our beachfront marquee, allowing you to keep the festivities within walking distance of each other.
After walking up a small track you are greeted with elevated 360-degree views of the Bay of Islands, which is sure to take your guests breath away. The Point has a downward slope, meaning all guests are able to enjoy the ceremony with ease. This area also has a standalone bar, perfect for serving water or bubbles for a post-ceremony toast.

If accessibility or weather is a concern an alternative ceremony location is on our Marquee Lawn.
This location consists of a gently sloped hill, which perfectly fits our wooden benches for guest seating. The large flat area at the end of the hill provides a comfortable space for the wedding party and other ceremony requirements. This space is easily accessed via the marquee, and hosts a stunning view directly out to the Bay of Islands.

Once the ceremony is complete it’s time to catch up with your nearest and dearest over cocktail hour. Our beachfront marquee and surrounding lawns provide the perfect place for guests to sit back and enjoy the view before heading in for dinner. Drinks can be served from our outdoor bar, while the caterers are able to serve canapés or whip up a grazing table for everyone to enjoy.
Our package includes white market umbrellas, wine barrel bar leaners, as well as bar stools which provide guest seating and shade during this time. Outdoor festoon lights also make this space functional later in the evening once the sun has gone down.

Brampton Venue
We are now taking bookings for our brand new venue location, The Brampton Venue, opening for events from January 2026.
Like our Onewhero Venue, the Brampton Venue has been designed as an all-in-one ceremony and reception location inclusive of ceremony spots perched above the water as well as a beautiful custom marquee and comprehensive inventory list.
Tucked away in a secluded spot along the coast, the Brampton Venue features private beaches and expansive panoramic views over the Brampton Reef out to the Bay of Islands for you and your guests to enjoy.

The Jetty
‘The Jetty’ at our Brampton Venue provides the perfect spot for a ceremony perched above the water, with uninterrupted views out to the Bay of Islands.
This man-made, grassed area will be set-up with our ceremony bench seating as pictured, and will also feature an outdoor bar - perfect for a post-ceremony toast.
The Jetty is easily accessible by car and a flat walking track.

Following the ceremony you and your guests will be able to enjoy drinks and canapés on the expansive marquee lawn situated next to a private bay with breathtaking views out to the Bay of Islands.
This area will feature some outdoor furniture, as well as a large purpose-built bar from which drinks can be served throughout the day.
Outdoor lighting will also make this space usable later in the evening once the sun has gone down.

The Brampton Venue will include a premium black marquee, providing a timeless backdrop for your wedding reception.
Inside, our 240sqm marquee will feature a white roof, concrete floor, as well as a 5m-wide awning for additional outdoor cover. Clear windows will allow you to enjoy uninterrupted ocean views and create an alfresco dining feel all night long.
The space will also include dining furniture, lighting, generator, luxury toilet trailer, separate catering area and other little touches to ensure your reception runs smoothly from start to finish.
The space is large enough to comfortably seat 130 people, with room to spare for a dance floor.

Soda Creek Kitchen is run by Colin and Rachael Ashton, who are based in Kerikeri. Their menus focus on delicious, quality dishes and years of experience owning restaurants really show in their attention to detail and outstanding service. They are able to tailor menus to suit your requirements, from buffets, plated meals, shared platters (banquet style), and walk and fork. The sample menus are based on previous events, and the Soda Creek Kitchen team are happy to swap, change or add new dishes to your liking.

The Bar
Baylys’ Farm is a BYO venue, meaning we allow you to supply your own alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages and we do not charge a corkage fee. Both the Onewhero Venue and Brampton Venue have bar units included onsite that will be available to use on your wedding day.
All bar service at Baylys' Farm is to be managed by Kindred Spirits for the full duration of the event. The Kindred Spirits team can provide a variety of services and inventory for your wedding day, including:

Baylys’ Farm is located right in the heart of the tropical Bay of Islands, which is the tourist hub for a region famous for it’s breathtaking scenery and historical landmarks.
Not only is it easy to travel to the Bay of Islands, your guests will also be treated to all that the region has to offer when they arrive. Including an abundance of accommodation options, restaurants, gorgeous beaches and fun activities.
Hosting a destination wedding allows you and your guests to switch off for a few days and relax into the celebrations - it’ll be the break away everyone has been waiting for.

ONEWHERO VENUE
If rain is forecast for your wedding day we will discuss the various options with you ahead of time and will assist in implementing any alternative plans on the day. Some ceremony alternatives include the lawn directly in front of the marquee for in-between showers, or inside the marquee for persistent rain. We will show you around the various ceremony locations during your first venue viewing.
We also provide umbrellas and our bar can be placed inside if needed. The marquee is fully waterproof and you do not need to hire in extra tents in the case of rainy weather
BRAMPTON VENUE
The Brampton Venue marquee will include a 5m-wide awning that will provide the perfect covered space for a wet weather ceremony.

As an operating farm it is important to us that we keep our farm roads in good condition, and we also want to make sure everyone gets home safely at the end of the night. Therefore we ask that you book bus transport for your guests to arrive and depart in via Clarks Coaches. We are able to provide recommendations on bus numbers and timings.
Please note, the wedding party and vendors are able to drive onto the venue and we can provide parking for these vehicles. Other guests may drive under special circumstances, please contact us if you would like more information on this.

While we love our furry friends our property is in a kiwi protected zone, which unfortunately means that both DOC and the Far North District Council have specifically advised that we are not allowed to host outside animals at the property.

Check Availability
Our wedding season runs between Labour Weekend in October through to the end of April, and we can host events on both Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays. Please contact us to check if your preferred dates are available within our wedding calendar. Please note, we do not pencil dates.
Arrange Viewing
The next step is for us to meet, either in person or virtually. It's best to arrange a site visit so you can meet us and we'll answer your questions as we show you around the property. We appreciate this may not always be possible however, so we can set-up a call and meet that way instead. Please note, viewings are by appointment only.
Contract & Deposit
Once we've met and you have confirmed a date that works for you we will send you our contract and an invoice for the deposit payment. When the contract is signed and deposit received we will secure your booking at the venue. From there we'll be available to answer any questions you have throughout the planning process.
